The church bedroom is on the second floor at the front of the house and has two windows overlooking the old town square and the 14th-century church with its lovely clock tower.
On Wednesday mornings throughout the year you look out over the farmers’ market in the Square below, and in the summer months you are in on all the action with a ringside seat for the various daytime and evening activities and events that are put on in the Square.
This room is a charming and romantic bedroom with a four-poster bed. Still retaining much of its original charm, the room has its original marble fireplace with ornate plaster detailing to the chimney breast, as well as the original ceiling beams.
You’ll find the bedroom well furnished with a hanging cupboard, shelves and a chest of drawers. In addition to the four poster bed there is also a single day bed should it be required, which makes a lovely spot to sit late afternoon to read, or mid evening to watch the sun setting over the mountains. It is also possible to request a cot/crib for an infant or a folding bed for a second child. There is fresh bedlinen and plenty of pillows and cushions and soft furnishings in a soft shade of primrose teamed with Toile de Joue fabric complete the look.
The walls are hung with old prints taken from vintage postcards of Quillan from around 1900.
As with the other bedroom, you have your own private ensuite shower room fully equipped with shower cubicle, toilet, sink, heated towel rail and large over-lit mirror.
The current room rate is €70 for up to two adults with or without children up to the age of 12, or €90 for three adults. There is a discount of 10% on stays of 4 nights or more. The price includes breakfast. You can book online.
