The sitting room – a place to relax in peace, with views over the river and chateau
The sunny well appointed sitting room is positioned at the back of the house on the first floor and has two windows overlooking the river and chateau.
The room has retained most of its original beautiful cornicing and plaster mouldings to the ceilings as well as its ornate chimney breast. Below the chimney breast is a large feature fireplace. Furnished with Laura Ashley & other quality fabrics and spacious and comfortable leather sofas, the room is a lovely peaceful place to relax and unwind, play a game or read a book.

In the winter there may be a fire in the large fireplace to keep you warm and cosy, along with nice soft warm throws and plenty of cushions. Ideal for snuggling down with after a day’s skiing or hiking.
For relaxing there is a selection of books, magazines and games available.
